Our policy is to use the information we acquire from visitors to our website (wildmontana.org and subdomains), social media pages, and through email messages that we send to you to help accomplish our conservation goals, and we maintain appropriate security measures to keep your information secure. Users can visit the Wild Montana website without revealing any personally identifying information. If you choose to give us personal information for the purposes of correspondence or making a donation then it is our intent to let you know how we will use such information. By providing personal information to us, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. If you tell Wild Montana that you do not wish to have personal information used as a basis for further contact, we will respect those wishes.

List Sharing

Wild Montana occasionally rents from or to, and exchanges personal information with like-minded nonprofit partners to assist in finding other potential people who may be interested in supporting our mission. As part of that process, we may share your name, postal address, email address, and phone number (but not your financial information) with other conservation non-profit organizations or efforts that may be of interest to you. As part of this sharing, Wild Montana may allow other like-minded non-profit organizations to use the information to contact you regarding issues related to our mission or ask for support, but only after we have approved of such communications for specific, approved uses. Use of Cookies

Certain sections of the Wild Montana website use "cookies" to store user information. A cookie is a small string of text that a website can send to your browser. Log Files

Like most standard website servers we use log files. This helps us understand how people are using our website. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

 

Secure Online Donations

Donations and event registrations made online to Wild Montana are made through secure credit card processing platforms. All data is hosted via Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards for encrypting and securely transmitting credit card data. When there is a need to store cardholder data -- for instance to automatically process a monthly pledge, Wild Montana’s credit card processing company uses a Level 1 PCI-Certified Gateway to securely store the data. Your payment account data is not kept on our computer, network or server.

How you can access, change or suppress your Personal Information
